What to Expect
The Mediation Process
TruNorth Mediation facilitates a safe space for open discussion in working towards a mutual agreement. Mediation is a structured, interactive process where an impartial third party assists disputing parties in resolving conflict through the use of specialized communication and negotiation techniques.
All cases are thoroughly screened for power imbalances and barriers. Both parties must be willing to communicate their concerns, needs, and listen to each other to work out an amicable resolution.
A mutual agreement is made by both parties
to mediate for resolution.
The mediator meets individually with each party to give space to listen and share your goals for your future. During this session, you will learn about the mediation process and have your questions answered.
We will prepare and send
a care package for you outlining the next steps.
